Stay tuned… we’re just getting started.
Cybersecurity & Compliance News
June brought no shortage of cybersecurity drama—Scattered Spider returned with high-stakes attacks on aviation, while Iran and pro-Russian actors flexed digital muscle in critical infrastructure and NATO-adjacent targets. On the regulatory front, New York now mandates cyberattack disclosures, Australia is cracking down on ransomware payments, and the U.S. House just banned WhatsApp on government devices. Meanwhile, eye-popping stats reveal a cyberattack every 39 seconds and a projected $13 trillion in global cybercrime costs for 2025. Healthcare and aviation sectors faced fresh incidents, and Microsoft shuffled its CISO to AI while the EU launched DNS4EU to reclaim digital sovereignty. We also spotlight GIFTEDCROOK’s shift to espionage, the privacy uproar over Meta’s new AI feature, and a friendly reminder that DMARC is now a must-have, not a maybe. Bottom line? Whether it’s social engineering, policy pressure, or emerging malware strains—staying proactive is no longer optional. Dive into the details inside.
ISP Management & Updates
As we move into the second half of the year, now’s the time to review your ISP requirements. Start by revisiting your organizational risks with key stakeholders using the Risk Register (RMP-FM-001), and ensure your Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans are still aligned with business objectives—testing them wherever possible. If you haven’t already, complete your internal control audits and schedule your external ISP control audit (a must-have for many compliance frameworks). Q3 and Q4 are also prime time for penetration testing—get yours booked before schedules fill up. And if you missed any of the following last quarter, catch up now: supplier assessments, user access audits, backup audits, and internal audits of both ISP and technical controls. Need help? We're here to make it all easier (and far less painful)..
